Tools that Address the Digital Divide

IT Capacity Building - Individuals and organizations experiencing the "digital divide" face a variety of barriers to accessing or using the Internet and other information technology (IT). These barriers often relate to either "hardware" or "software" issues. These issues can impact the ability of nonprofit faith- and community-based organizations to secure Federal funds.

Learn more about resources available to nonprofits by visiting the Finance Project's Access to IT Web site at http://www.financeproject.org/digdivideaccess.htm.

To learn more about specific Federal and State efforts to close the "digital divide" for these groups, check out http://www.financeproject.org/digdividefedstate.htm. Your nonprofit might find assistance in building IT capacity through these efforts.
