Regional Trainings
The Navigating the Federal Funding Process Regional Trainings
are 2-day interactive training sessions that cover topical areas related to the Federal grant process including
the OJP online Grants Management System, Federal funding opportunities, writing winning proposals, creating
partnerships, grants management, data collection and recordkeeping, program evaluation, and capacity building.
Regional Trainings are facilitated by a team of experts in the Federal grants process and relevant subject areas.
To help community-based, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations identify funding opportunities, develop
competitive federal grant applications, and effectively build partnerships, the ARC Initiative delivered
eight Navigating the Federal Funding Process Regional
and National Trainings since May 2004. The regional training institutes held in 2004 in Atlanta,
Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles were used to pilot the curriculum and get a better sense for its
ability to assist our audience in successfully navigating the federal funding process. As a result of the
regional training institutes, the curriculum has been updated and NTTAC has convened both national and
regional training workshops in Miami, New Orleans, New Jersey, and Richmond.
Dates for future training workshops and "webinars" on the Federal funding process will be determined soon.
